Brett has been involved in the Surveying profession for over 20 years, gaining his Surveying Registration in NSW in 2004 and Registration as a Surveyor in Queensland in 2010. Brett’s career in surveying has seen him involved in a variety of large scale construction projects throughout Newcastle and the Hunter Valley ranging from mine surveys, railway projects, golf course expansions, subdivision developments and multi-storey building construction.

 

Brett’s key area of expertise is in land property and development surveys and oversees this division in PSS. Brett has gained invaluable experience over the past years in dealing with local councils, statutory authorities, government agencies, sub consultantsand various professional bodies relating to boundary identifications, land subdivisions, strata and community titling, native title dealings, high water mark determination and town planning matters.

 

Brett is currently a Senior lecturer in Surveying and Civil Engineering at the Hunter Institute of Technology Newcastle, an active member of the Hunter Manning Group of the Institution of Surveyors (NSW), member of the Institute of Surveyors Australia and a member of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute.

 

Project Experience Includes:

 

  • Warners Bay Homemaker Centre, Warners Bay $30m – control of earthworks, 12 superstore buildings over 370 multi-level carparking spots & road construction, associated cadastral plans for statutory authorities and As-built surveys.

  • Hunter Valley Golf & Country Club Re-development, Pokolbin $50m – control of construction of Crowne Plaza Hotel, 175 self-contained golf condominiums, road construction and golf course upgrade.

  • Breakwater Apartments & Crowne Plaza Hotel, Newcastle $81m – control of all site survey for building construction of 40 apartments, 175 room multi-storey hotel complex and development and planning for strata subdivision surveys.

  • Aventine Development, Newcastle – control of construction of over 40 residential multi-level and high rise apartments and staged strata subdivision.
