After being awarded Bachelor’s Degrees with Honours in both Surveying and Civil Engineering, Trenton has gained 15 years’ experience in the surveying, construction and mining industry throughout Australia.

 

Project Experience

  • Trenton has been working on behalf of PSS on the Hunter Expressway for AbiGroup and the Kooragang Expansion Projects (KEP) K7 wharf extension for Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS)

  • Trenton’s work on the Hunter Expressway - Kurri Kurri to Branxton involved Control Surveys & earthworks for approximately 27km of two lane dual carriageways, four interchanges and associated ramps

  • K7 wharf extension was a 330m wharf, rail and conveyor extension with associated drainage structures. Trenton’s integral involvement included marine and land piling, precast concrete installation, conveyor gantry manufacture, installation and alignment, drainage washout and detention structures, rail installation and general earthworks

  • Prior to joining the PSS team Trenton held a role as Survey Manager /Project Engineer – responsible for the surveying, model development and volumetric requirements across several projects and took over the role of Project Engineer for the Eraring Energy Attemperating Reservoir project. This role included assisting in supervising construction procedures, quality and environmental issues and general engineering requirements to aid operators and production supervisor

  • Eraring Energy Attemperating Reservoir – 800ML earth and rock fill dam with an earth core and weathered rock fill shoulders to form a turkeys nest storage. This project was a cut to fill design with approximately 500000m3 of excavation in the dam itself along with 150000m3 clay borrow pit onsite

  • Tailings dam upgrade, Ashton Coal, Singleton NSW

  • Pre-work for Tailings dam upgrade, North Parkes Mines, Parkes NSW

  • Formerly Trenton held positions specialising in GPS surveys while performing various types of exploration and construction surveys across

  • Australia including seismic, gravity, engineering detail and set out, control network and digital cadastre upgrades

As an undergraduate Surveyor Trenton gained experience leading survey parties on a range of surveys for construction, land development and infrastructure projects. The various surveys completed includes topographical, engineering, building detail, building and construction set outs, boundary definition, pipelines, service location and GPS surveys.
