Remediation of the former Pasminco site - Boolaroo
After being closed in 2003 Pasminco Cockle Creek Smelter and Incitec Fertiliser sites have been undergoing intense remediation to allow future developments on the site. PSS has been involved in the construction of a cell containing the contaminated material and associated earthworks, drainage and treatment facilities on site. This work has involved numerous large surveys undertaken to calculate the volume of material movements, progressive volumes calculations of materials still to be remediated and assistance in the design for increasing the capacity the contaminate cell.
PSS has been involved in the remediation of the contaminated material, construction and modelling of the earthworks and roads, planning and statutory consultation and more recently preparation for re-development of the project.
Maritime Set-out at Mayfield 7, Port of Newcastle - Waterways Constructions
PSS has been awarded the Survey contract of a Maritime construction project for a new Bulk Liquids Berth at Mayfield 7 in the Port of Newcastle. This project is due to complete in 2017.
Cessnock Correctional Centre Expansion - Richard Crookes Construction
All survey requirements for the construction the 330 Bed Correctional Facility expansion including associated earthworks, drainage, substations, large concrete slab pours, pre-cast walls, hold down bolts, Macern Fencing, retaining walls, recreational areas, car parks and other hardstand, As Constructed reports and drawings, whilst dealing with Maximum Security Clearance protocols.

PSS have been engaged as the Surveyors for several Retirement Village sites of villas and surrounding facilities including Detail Survey, easements, Lease Plans and Construction Setout.

PSS are providing all Survey requirements from construction setout through to the final strata plan. The WestEnd Apartments consists of 122 modern residential apartments and 4 commercial units.
Construction Set-out Survey Services, various locations, Hunter - RMD
Positive Survey Solutions are panel members for RMS works and currently provide all Survey requirements for the Regional Maintenance Division providing all Survey requirements for 6 sites involving Bridge and Bridge approach asphalt monitoring for grade correction, Batter setout and setout for grooving during day and night works in accordance with RMS specification.
Digital Terrain Model Surveys across 3 sites - RMS
PSS are currently undertaking Digital Terrain Modelling of 4km of road across 3 site locations along the New England Highway, Putty Valley Road and the Golden Highway for the RMS. Geodetic Control, Traffic control methodology and capability for electronic exchange of data to RMS specifications and requirements, as well as acheiving efficient methodology and timely scheduling to reach tight deadlines as provisioned by Gant Chart scheduling.
Sewer Pump Station and Storage Tanks - Huntlee, Branxton - Patroy Enterprises
PSS are providing all Survey requirements for the construction setout and conformance including machine guidance of the Sewer Pumping Station and Storage Tank facilities for Huntlee and Hunter Water.
The Belle Apartments, Belmont - 5 Level Residential and Commercial units - Base Build
PSS are providing all Survey requirements from construction setout through to the final strata plan. The Belle Apartments consists of 101 modern residential apartments and 6 commercial units.
The "Beaches", Catherine Hill Bay (Catho)
PSS are providing Surveying for several new housing lots at "Beaches". This includes Contour and Detail Surveys prior to design, setout for the construction of the dwellings and Identification Surveys (or conformance) at the completion of the project prior to Council approval.
